Reading Timer for Android

A real reading timer. Screen off, session recap, pages tracked, no account, no telemetry.

What it does

Lecturameter times how you actually read and turns that into your own stats.

Start a session, put the phone down, read. When you stop, you fill in the page you reached and Lecturameter calculates your pace automatically from the timer. All of that goes into your book's own history, into the global history and gets used for your weekly recap, yearly recap and widgets. None of this data leaves your phone.

Normal and immersive

  • Normal keeps the phone active with a soft interface so you can stop the timer from inside the app. It keeps working with the screen off or on another app, and you get a control notification.
  • Immersive, exclusive to Pro users, has its own screen with the book cover, a progress bar and sounds you can switch between, plus optional auto-activation of do not disturb. It keeps working with the screen off, on another Lecturameter screen or on another app, and you get a control notification.

Recovery

If you forget to stop the timer, Lecturameter offers to trim the session when you open the app again. If the phone reboots or the system kills the app, the timer remembers the time it was showing. Nothing is lost.

Real pace

Every session records the pages you enter. Over time you get your real reading pace in pages per minute, per book, per day, per week and per year. It is not an estimate. The number you see is the average of what you actually read.

Widgets and quick access

  • A book widget on your home screen shows what you are reading and your progress. Tapping the book takes you to the book's details inside Lecturameter.
  • A monthly comparison widget, exclusive to Pro users, compares your current month against the previous one.
