Tus datos de lectura son tuyos. Punto.

No uses tu nombre real.

Your reading data is yours. Period.
By Víctor (Lecturameter) · Updated November 1, 2026
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This page mirrors the privacy policy you see inside the app. It explains, in plain language, what data Lecturameter keeps and what leaves your device.
1. Where your data lives
Your books, reading sessions, statistics, challenges, and bingo are stored only on your device (the app is offline-first). If you turn on backups, they are saved wherever you choose:
No one but you can see those files.
2. No third-party analytics, no ads, no accounts
3. Pseudonymous usage statistics and crash reports
Pseudonymous usage statistics (optional): the app sends to Lecturameter's own server (hosted on Cloudflare) a random installation identifier generated by the app itself, which changes every 90 days and is not linked to your identity, the device advertising ID or any account; the app version, the platform and names of product events (for example: first book added, trial started or ended, share card used), plus whether you come back to the app on day 1, 7 and 30. Nothing from your library, no book titles and no personal data are sent. This data is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, or profiling, and is never sold to third parties.
Crash reports (optional): if the app closes unexpectedly or, on Android, stops responding, it sends a technical report to the Lecturameter server: the error type and message, the trace of the app's code (for an Android hang, only the main thread's), the app version, the device model and manufacturer, the system version and the language. It does not include your library, your notes or any identifier. The error message is technical, but in rare cases it may include a fragment of the data that caused it. You can turn it off in Settings > Help and about > Privacy > Crash reports.
Both options can be turned off in Settings > Help and about > Privacy (the “Usage statistics” and “Crash reports” switches).
4. Searching and scanning books
When you search for a book or scan an ISBN, that text or code goes to Lecturameter's catalog server (hosted on Cloudflare), which queries public book catalogs for you (Google Books, Open Library, Wikidata, AniList, MangaUpdates, Kitsu) to bring back the title, cover or author. Our server does not store your IP address, and the results are kept in a temporary cache (from a few hours to 30 days) that is not linked to anyone. No personal data of yours is sent in these queries.
Lecturameter also installs a local book catalog on your device: a database of its own with about 12,000 works that downloads with the app. It is what lets you search for books offline. That catalog is app content, holds no data of yours, and neither what you search in it nor what you find ever leaves your device.
If the Lecturameter catalog finds nothing for your search, or you add a book that was not in it, our server saves what you searched for (the text, up to 200 characters, or the ISBN), the type of search, the identifiers of the book you add, the date and a hash of the app's user agent, so we know which works are missing and can add them. It does not save your IP address or any identifier of you or your device, and it keeps this for 90 days at most. This helps every user improve the catalog, so it has no switch in Settings. You can read where that catalog comes from in this section of the website.
5. Feedback and surveys
Sending feedback or answering a survey inside the app is entirely optional. If you choose to, the text you wrote is sent along with technical device information (model, OS version (Android or iOS), and app version) to Lecturameter's developer, so they can read it and improve the app. If you also choose to attach app logs or screenshots, those are sent too; both are optional and only included if you add them.
Answering a survey inside the app is optional, and your answer is only sent if you tap Send. It includes your favorite theme, the theme you currently have set, the section of the app you use most, a single-choice answer to the current rotating question, and any optional text you choose to write (please do not include personal data), together with the app version, language and platform (Android or iOS). The answer reaches the developer by email, like feedback, and is also stored on Lecturameter's own statistics server (hosted on Cloudflare) for 6 months, without any device identifier or IP address; after that it is deleted automatically.
6. Lecturameter Pro and code redemption
Lecturameter Pro payments are handled by Google Play (on Android) or the Apple App Store (on iOS): the app never sees or stores your payment details. When you make or restore a purchase, the store's purchase identifier is sent to Lecturameter's license server only to validate the purchase. If you redeem a promo code, that code and a device identifier are sent to Lecturameter's redemption server, only to validate the code and limit how many devices can use it.
7. Device identifier
To prevent abuse of the free trial and to verify your Pro license, the app sends a device identifier to Lecturameter's license server (hosted on Cloudflare): the Android ID on Android, the vendor identifier on iOS. It is sent when you start the free trial, when you redeem or restore Pro with a code, when you restore purchases, and when the app retries a pending trial registration at startup. It is not used for advertising or profiling and is not linked to your name.
8. E-reader sync (KOSync)
It is optional: if you don't connect an e-reader, nothing is sent. If you connect one (KOReader, CrossPoint or any other KOSync-compatible one), the app sends to Lecturameter's sync server (hosted on Cloudflare, in Western Europe) a sync username (3 to 32 characters, with no email or personal data; it is not a Lecturameter account) and the key your e-reader uses, which the server stores only as a salted hash. For each synced book it stores the document identifier, position, percentage, device name and id, date and, if your e-reader sends them, the title, authors and file name. We don't store your IP address: request limits are counted on the fly by Cloudflare.
Reading history (30 days): besides the last position of each book, the server keeps a recent history of your reading for 30 days, only to fill in your session durations in the app. There are two kinds. First: every progress update KOReader sends, with the time it reaches the server, the percentage, the progress and the device id. Second, only if you install the optional Lecturameter plugin for KOReader: the reading time per page, with the start time, the duration in seconds, the page, the total number of pages and the device id. All of this is tied to your sync username, is not shared with third parties, is not used for analytics or advertising, and is deleted automatically after 30 days. It is optional: without the plugin, the app estimates the duration from the KOSync updates, or you can type the minutes yourself.
Legal basis: your consent. This is an optional feature that you turn on yourself by linking your e-reader, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by unlinking it or deleting your data from the server.
How to delete it: when you disconnect the e-reader, check "Also delete my data from the server". The user, all its progress, its activity history and its reading statistics are removed from the server immediately. If you disconnect without checking it, the user and the progress stay on the server, and the reading history is deleted anyway after 30 days. If you no longer have the app or the e-reader, write to lecturameter.app@gmail.com with your sync username and we will delete the user, all its progress, its activity history and its reading statistics from the server within 30 days at most. When you unlink, the option to also delete your data from the server comes checked by default and removes everything immediately, history included. After deleting, technical backup copies of the database may remain for up to 30 days; nobody consults them and they are removed automatically.
9. Events (optional)
Events, such as the global reading challenge, are optional: you can use the whole app without joining any, with no email or password. Joining creates a pseudonymous identity used only for events. Even if you never join, when the app opens it asks our events server for the list of events and sends only your platform (Android or iOS) and the app version.
What we send when you join: a pseudonymous identifier (the app generates a random secret on your phone and our server keeps only its fingerprint), the alias you choose, the Pagi you pick as avatar, the platform and the app version. For each session you record with the timer during the event: the minutes, the pages, the start time and a unique session id so it is not counted twice (sessions added by hand are not sent). If you play Lecturameter Quest in an event: the result of each game (win or defeat, stage, level, life left, the types of books you used but not their titles, turns, active time and end time). Only if you choose to: a report about an alias (the alias and your reason) and the event survey (closed answers and optional free text; do not write personal data in it).
What we never send: titles, ISBNs, covers, your library, notes, quotes or what you are reading, nor your name, email, location or contacts. We do not store your IP address in the events database; it is used only at that moment to limit requests, and Cloudflare, which carries the connection, sees it.
What others see: your alias, your Pagi and your minutes or points appear on the event's public leaderboard, which anyone can read. Do not use your real name. There are no messages or contact between participants.
Notifications: we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google), only the messaging component and without Firebase Analytics. The app subscribes to topics: one for your language and one for each event you join. Our server stores no tokens and no list of your devices; Google delivers the messages and processes the technical identifier of the installation needed for that. They are on by default in the app (the “Events” switch), they need the system permission to be shown, and you can turn them off at any time. To turn them off: Settings → Notifications → Events. If event notifications are turned on, the app subscribes to your language topic even if you never join an event; that topic only carries the notice that an event is about to start and the one that it has started, and it does not identify you. All other notices (two days left, results) go only to people who join; if you do not join, nothing else reaches you. The “App news” notices (new versions, important notices and other communications from Lecturameter) use the same service: the app subscribes to one topic for your language (app_<language>), which does not identify you or carry any reading data. It is on by default and you can turn it off in Settings → Notifications → App news.
Why and legal basis: to let you take part, compute the leaderboard and the shared total, prevent obvious cheating, moderate inappropriate aliases, give you the reward and gather your opinion. Basis: your consent when you tap Join after seeing what is sent; our legitimate interest in moderation and preventing cheating; and, for notifications, your permission on the system. You can withdraw consent at any time by leaving the event or deleting your data. We do not show ads, sell data or profile you.
How long we keep it: while the event runs and up to 90 days after it ends, unless you delete it earlier. After that we delete your alias, Pagi, minutes, Quest games and sessions and keep only totals without names (total minutes, pages and number of participants). Survey answers are archived unlinked from you and can no longer be tied to you. Rewards granted are kept with an internal identifier that no longer points to you. If you change alias, the old one stays reserved for you in that event until 60 days after it ends. The internal moderation log (the action taken, the participant's internal identifier and the reason) is also deleted after 90 days. After deleting, technical backup copies of the database may remain for up to 30 days; nobody consults them and they are removed automatically.
Leaving and deleting: in the challenge menu, “Leave the event” deletes all your data of that event from the server (alias, minutes, Quest games, survey, rewards, reports, alias reservation and your entry in the final results), and “Delete all my event data” does it in every event and removes your identity from this device. Your library and your sessions on the phone are not touched. Your recovery code lets you recover your alias on another device; without it we cannot locate your data, because we only know the fingerprint. If you lose the code, your event data is deleted automatically 90 days after each event ends. You can also write to lecturameter.app@gmail.com with your recovery code. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and you can complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
Who processes the data: Lecturameter, with a server hosted on Cloudflare (processor). When someone reports an alias, a notice reaches a private channel of our team on Discord, the provider of that notice, with exactly: the event, the reported alias, the number of reports so far, whether it is a test event, the reason, the time and a link to our admin panel; never any data about the person reporting. Notifications are delivered by Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
10. App permissions
Android:
iOS:
11. Third parties
On Android: Google Play Billing processes the payments for Pro; the app never sees your payment data. Google Drive stores your optional backups in your own Google account, and the app only sees the files it created. The barcode scanner (Google ML Kit) and the document scanner (Google Play services) process images on your device; Google may receive usage and performance metrics and per-installation identifiers from these components, under Google's own privacy policy. Public book catalogs receive your searches through our server, as described above. Cloudflare hosts Lecturameter's servers. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
On iOS: The App Store processes the payments for Pro; the app never sees your payment data. Google Drive can store your optional backups in your own Google account, and the app only sees the files it created. Public book catalogs receive your searches through our server, as described above. Cloudflare hosts Lecturameter's servers. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
